How to see all open jobs at a company

The full list of a company's open jobs usually lives on its own applicant tracking system board, not on job boards. Aggregators pick up some roles and miss others, so if you're sizing up an account, it's easy to undercount what it is hiring for. To see everything, find the company's board on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters or whatever system it uses, then read the list there. For one account, that takes a few minutes by hand. For a whole target list, a report that checks every board at once saves you the afternoon.

Why job boards undercount

Aggregators don't own the listings. They collect them from many sources, and things get lost along the way. Some boards aren't indexed. Duplicates get merged, sometimes too aggressively. New roles show up late, and closed roles can linger after the real posting is gone. Some companies only post a portion of their openings to paid job boards.

None of that matters much to a job seeker hunting for one role. It matters a lot to you if you're deciding which accounts to work, which teams are growing and who to call. If you size an account off an aggregator, you can walk into a conversation thinking a company has a few openings when its own board says otherwise.

The fix is simple: go to the source.

Step 1: Find the company's board

Most companies don't build their own job system. They use an applicant tracking system (ATS), and the careers page on their website either links to it or embeds it.

The quickest way to find it:

  1. Open the company's careers page.
  2. Click into any role, then click Apply.
  3. Watch the URL in your browser.

The domain tells you which system the company uses. Common shapes look like this:

  • Greenhouse: job-boards.greenhouse.io/{company}. Older boards.greenhouse.io/{company} links redirect there, and some companies forward it on to a careers page on their own domain.
  • Lever: jobs.lever.co/{company}
  • Ashby: jobs.ashbyhq.com/{company}
  • SmartRecruiters: careers.smartrecruiters.com/{company}. Older jobs.smartrecruiters.com/{company} links redirect there.

If the careers page sits on the company's own domain, the listings may still load from one of these systems behind the scenes. Clicking Apply usually reveals it.

You can also search for the board directly. DorkJobs offers a free tool to search ATS boards with Google dorks. A search like site:jobs.lever.co "company name" often surfaces the board in one step.

Step 2: Read the whole list

Once you have the board, trim the URL back to the company's root page so you're looking at every listing, not just the one role you clicked.

Then work through it:

  • Use the filters the board gives you. Many boards let you narrow by team, department or location. Not every company sets these up, so you may have to scan.
  • Note remote roles. These change how you think about location-based outreach.
  • Tally by team. Count roles by department. If a company has a cluster of openings in one group, that's where the push is, and that's who you want to talk to.

What a posting date tells you, and what it doesn't

Some boards show when a role was posted or updated. Many don't show anything. Even when a date is there, it can reset when someone edits the listing, so an "updated" date doesn't always mean a new role. Treat dates as a hint, not proof. If freshness matters for an account, check whether the role was also listed elsewhere and whether the hiring team is active.

When a company uses more than one system

Bigger companies can be messy. A parent company might run one ATS while a subsidiary or a recent acquisition runs another. Some use systems like Workday or iCIMS. In those cases, check each board by hand.

Be clear on what the DorkJobs report covers: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters. If a company's board is on another system, the report won't pick it up. You see that in the coverage check before the report is emailed.

Checking many accounts at once

Doing this by hand works for one or two companies. For a list of target accounts, it eats the day.

The DorkJobs recruiter report does it in one pass:

  • Paste your list. One career-site URL per line.
  • See coverage first. DorkJobs checks your list and shows which URLs can be monitored.
  • Pick a report type. Full hiring roster, cleared roles or security hiring. Choose a specialist report when you only need cleared or security hiring signals.
  • Get a current hiring roster plus roles posted in the last 30 days.

The report is free and sent by email.

FAQ

Why might a job board show fewer jobs than a company's career page?
Job boards and aggregators collect listings from many sources, and they can miss, lag or drop roles. The company's own ATS board is the source, so it's the most complete place to look.

How do I find which applicant tracking system a company uses?
Click Apply on a role from the company's careers page and look at the URL. Domains like greenhouse.io, lever.co, ashbyhq.com or smartrecruiters.com tell you which system it uses.

What is the Greenhouse job board URL for a company?
Usually job-boards.greenhouse.io/{company}. Older boards.greenhouse.io links redirect there, and some companies forward it on to their own careers page.

Can I see every open role for a list of companies at once?
Yes. Paste their career-site URLs into the DorkJobs recruiter report. You get a current hiring roster plus roles posted in the last 30 days. The report is free. Add your email, and your list is checked for coverage first.
